Pro Bono Work to Empower and Represent Act of 2018

“The POWER ACT”

Congress enacted the Pro Bono Work to Empower and Represent Act of 2018 with the goal of having every U.S. District in the country host events to encourage lawyers to provide pro bono assistance to victims of domestic violence. The Court has hosted panel discussions featuring panelists who discussed the opportunities for providing pro bono representation, and the challenges and rewards associated with it.

The Court has hosted two panel discussions.
