Local Rules effective April 1, 2025

It is our hope that these local rules will provide practitioners in our district with a clear statement of the Court's policies and procedures and that they will contribute to the improvement of administration of justice in our Court.

However, we remain open to suggestions and welcome comments you may have for improving our local rules. You may send them to us by submitting a contact form here (select Category: Local Rules)

In addition, you may contact any member of the Local Rules committee (contact information provided in the link below) to discuss your suggestions or questions about the Local Rules.

In addition to the Local Rules, the Court has adopted a Pilot Plan for Direct Assignment of Civil Cases to U.S. Magistrate Judges.  Although initially piloted for a two-year period, the Pilot Plan has been extended and civil cases are still being assigned to our Magistrate Judges in accordance with the Pilot Plan.
