The United States District Court is now accepting new applications for admission to the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the District of Maine. Selected applicants will serve a two-year term and continuation on the panel beyond that term will require a renewal application. Please use the "CJA New Applicants" form below.
 

CJA – RENEWAL APPLICATIONS are being accepted February 12-March 5, 2026 (close of business)

The United States District Court for the District of Maine is accepting Renewal Applications for certain attorneys who are already admitted to the Court’s Criminal Justice Act Panel. Renewal applications will be accepted from February 12, 2026, to the close of business March 5, 2026. Please use the PDF form “CJA Renewal Form” posted below. Selected applicants will serve a two-year term and continuation on the panel beyond that term will require a renewal application.
