The U.S. District Court for the District of Maine has learned that scam emails are being sent to the public pretending to be from the Court.

Although these emails claim to be from Chief Judge Walker and Clerk Lyons, they did not come from the Court.

Please check email senders carefully. Do not respond to messages that appear to come from a fake U.S. Courts email address (such as an AOL account) or that claim there is a warrant for your arrest.

To avoid identity theft, do not reply to any request asking you to “confirm your identity.”
