Jury Scam Alert

The U.S. District Court for the District of Maine is aware of an ongoing jury scam involving fraudulent text messages and emails claiming that recipients failed to report for jury duty.  These messages falsely use the name of “Judge Nye” or other court officials. 

These messages are not from the Court.  The Court will never send a text or email threatening arrest or demanding payment for missed jury service.

Do not respond, provide personal or financial information, click links, or send payment in response to these messages.  Jury Scams can be reported to Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
