PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE LOCAL RULES

The District Court Local Rules Advisory Committee has proposed amendments to the Local Rules for the United States District Court for the District of Maine.  Your comments are welcome on amendments to the following Local Rules:

• Local Rule 7A Filing Sealed Documents and Pleadings and Form Confidentiality Order
• Local Rule 16.3(a)(2) Re Social Security Cases
• Local Rule 83.3 Attorneys – Rules of Disciplinary Enforcement

The District Court Local Rules Advisory Committee will carefully consider comments on the proposed amendments.

Please provide any comments on the proposed amendments no later than October 29, 2012.  Comments may be submitted electronically to localrules@med.uscourts.gov, or in hard copy to:
